Whom Are We Asking

Who do you choose to get guidance from? This is a critical question. Being clear on this issue will help you to get better readings. Since readings are like conversations, directing your questions to a particular 'ear', will bring clear, less vague results.
I ask God. He is the highest authority I know, and probably the only one I am willing to listen to.  By asking God and obeying His answers, I consciously put my life in His hands. Of course, unconsciously it is in His beautiful hands already, thank God!  But that's me, and you need to do what suits you.

If you do not believe in God you can ask your intuition, your inner or True Self. Ask the highest and wisest source you believe in or accept as The Truth. Go in a positive and spiritual direction, towards Light, Truth and Love.

Whom are you talking with is extremely important, as you can see in the following story:
Once there was a saint, whose great love for God made him forget the world. He did not care for material things, and most people regarded him as mad. In the same city lived a poor merchant. One day, when the merchant was walking in the street, he saw the mad-saint. In his desperation, the poor merchant asked:
"Oh, wise-man, what should I buy this year?". The saint's reply was:
"Buy sugar!". This the merchant did, and fortunately for him the price of sugar went sky high, making him a very rich man.
One year later the merchant saw the mad-saint again. This time the merchant was not poor and alone, but rich and surrounded by his wealthy friends. Though he wanted advice again, he was afraid of what his new friends would think, if he would address the mad man as "wise". To cover his true intentions, he jokingly asked: "Oh, stupid-man, what should I buy this year?".  "Buy onions!  was the reply, and this the merchant did with all his wealth.  Time passed, the onions started to rot and stink, and the merchant lost all of his money. Angrily, he confronted the mad-saint.
The mad-saint answered: "The first time you called me "wise", and I gave you a wise advice. When you called me "stupid", naturally I gave you a stupid advice."

Talk with the Highest One, by whatever name you call Him.
