It is very simple to make your own cards. I take a 4x6 index card, make my drawing and write the interpretation I want to give it. Do not worry about the level of your drawing or the artistic value of your card. These cards are for you to be yourself and talk in your own language. You can use drawing, words (sentences from a song you like for example), clips from the newspaper or other images from your world.
Another option is to use ready made cards or postcards or photos. In that case you will just need to add meanings to the cards and you are done!
"Empty shell or how empty life can be without Venus"
The interpretation is written on the front of the card, and it has only one meaning.
"Bloom where you are planted"
is an example for 'word cards'.
This is an example of a four-way card, when the interpretations are written on the front
Four way card, with the interpretation written on the back. The front with the drawing is on the left, and the back of the card on the right.
Before you write the interpretations you need to decide which kind of cards you are making:
ONE WAY CARDS - means that you write one interpretation only. The card will have only one meaning, even when it comes upside down.
TWO WAY CARDS - has two interpretations. One when the card comes straight, and the other when it comes upside down. The 'upside down' interpretation does not have to be the opposite of the straight one. For example - the 'upside down' of LOVE does not have to be HATE. It can be LONELINESS or SADNESS etc. Be honest to what you feel in your heart.
FOUR WAY CARDS - has an interpretation written on each side. Here are some examples:
So - which set should you make?
If drawing is easier for you - make one or two way cards.
If words come easy and you do not like drawing so much - make a four way set.
But - these are only suggestions. The best is to follow your heart.
