When I was young I always wanted to make my own set of Tarot like cards. But I never did, and I never got into the Tarot cards themselves. When I came to believe in God and (3 years later) got married, the need for artistic expression combined with the need to get more clarity, brought these cards to life.
In 'pressing' situations, I would make a drawing on an index card, then write on the back of it what I felt at the time, or what the situation was. With time I started to ask God questions using the cards. I hope it will help you as much as it helped me.
The Guidance card is made for asking questions ONLY ABOUT THE PRESENT. They are not meant for questions about the future, and will not give the correct answer for such questions. The purpose of these cards is to help us lay our life at God's feet, and follow HIS wish best we can.
Clarity of intention is really important. Who are you asking for advice? If you do not believe in God - direct your question to the highest, most positive direction you can think of: Soul, Light, Real-Self, Love, Source of Life...
Remember - even with asking God for guidance, you are the only one responsible for your actions, and you will be the one to bear their consequences. The writer disclaims any liability or loss in connection with the advice herein.
You can ask about any area of your life. When you want to change jobs, when there is a 'sticky' situation, when you are just not sure what to do. Keep your questions simple - like yes/no questions (complicated question will make it harder for you to understand the answer). Keep your questions about NOW, and remember, the purpose is to find out what God wants you to do (and not to make you rich, smart etc. - for Him you are all that already!).
The idea of using drawings and your own life experience, will make it possible to get richer, more direct and subtle answers. Many people use a coin or other signs to get an answer. When you get "Holiday, peace, tranquility" as your 'yes' card; and "that horrible meal you had with your mother in law" (or "The night out with your friends where you really/badly shamed yourself") as your 'no' card, then you get much more information about the situation.
Ask a simple question about the present, pull a card for the answer 'yes' and a card for 'no' and compare them. Which card is more positive? If the 'yes' card is more positive (like in the example above), then your answer is 'yes'. If the 'no' card is more positive - then you better not do it (in the example above - if the "holiday" card would come for 'no' and the "terrible meal" would come for 'yes').
The readings are like conversations: it is important to keep good manners and respect the Other.
* the first question will be -
Is this a good time for a talk? or
Is this a good time to ask about this subject?
* Then pull a card out for 'yes' and a card out for 'no'.
* Which of the cards is more positive? if the 'yes' card is - go on with the reading. If the 'no' card is - be patient and wait for another time. Do not push on Him, because He knows what He is doing...
* When you finish asking your questions, your last one will be:
Is the reading done/over?
Sometimes God has more to say. In this case again - be patient, try to find out what He wants to talk about, and what He has to say.
Good luck with it all, He is a great Guide and it is truly wonderful to go 'His way'.
